Recently I started looking at options available for a Jamaican vacation. I have been checking some stuff out online, and I have learned much about this island. First I learned that Jamaica has mountains. I don’t know why that surprised me, because I know Jamaica is popular for its Blue Mountain coffee. I guess I never really pictured this island having a mountain. In my mind when I thought Jamaica, all I thought about was beaches. And yes, Jamaica is known for its coastal area and the beautiful white sand beaches. I also learned that the Negril Beach on Jamaica’s west coast is a top ten rated beach in all of the world.
I also learned that Jamaica has water falls. The mountain waters flow down the mountains and over rocky areas toward the Caribbean. Dunn’s River Falls is the most popular tourist attraction on the island and people can actually climb up the falls, which are like giant rock steps. Besides the excitement of the climb, the climbers get to enjoy the scenic view from the top.
I also got some information about the many different Jamaica hotels. Many of the resorts and hotels are located on beautiful parts of Jamaican beach areas, and some of these also have excellent value all inclusive Jamaica vacation packages available. For example, of the Ocho Rios hotels, there is the Breezes Runaway Bay Resort that has an really super all inclusive package. I say super as because from what I have read the meals are great, both in variety and in taste, as are the readily available snacks and beverages. All of these are included, as well as tips and gratuities and transfers to and from the island airport. What makes the packages an even better value is the long list of activities available on the resorts to keep you entertained and enjoying your stay.
There is much to learn about Jamaica, its culture, its history, and its natural beauty. Traveling is a great way to learn about a place, and a Jamaican vacation has much to offer beach lovers who want to experience and learn more about this tropical island.
